41 New Propel grants announced

Propel invests a further £11m in New Deal for Young People grants.

Last Friday the Mayor of London announced a further 41 brilliant organisations joining this cohort of Propel under the New Deal for Young People mission, taking the total investment so far to almost £36 million.

All organisations in this round of funding have been supported by The GLA, who hope to grow and develop this important area of the youth and community sector and ensure that as many young people in need as possible can benefit from high quality mentoring support. To learn more about the GLA’s decision making for this round, you can read an interview with one of their young assessors here.

We are delighted to have our Mentoring work be supported through Propel, an innovative and collaborative funding partnership.  It is so helpful and progressive to be part of such a varied network of London wide youth organisations, many of whom are already learning from each other.  We’re already in discussions about best practice in delivery, what works well with particular groups of young people and finding opportunities to share knowledge and consider progression routes between partners on our funded programmes.
